Delta Adds Four New LATAM/Caribbean Routes

Delta Air Lines added four new flights to destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the little-known island of Curacao and the Mexican coast town of Mazatlan.

By the next winter season, the carrier will serve up to 50 cities across the region, in addition to increased frequencies on existing routes.

With this expansion, Delta boasts up to 1,000 weekly flights to various destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean, offering travelers more options and flexibility.

These new connections will primarily originate from Delta’s hubs in New York City (at JFK International Airport), Atlanta and Minneapolis.

“We are establishing seamless connections for our customers to travel to their dream destinations with ease,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, in a press release.

Delta currently offers daily flights to popular Caribbean destinations like Barbados, Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Santiago de los Caballeros. Additionally, the airline is introducing a weekly service from Atlanta to Curacao.

Delta is also bringing back service to Mazatlan, Mexico, offering three weekly flights from its Minneapolis-St. Paul hub (MSP) starting December 21st. The Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday flights mark a return for Delta, which last served Mazatlan in March 2019.

All new and expanded routes will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircrafts.
