Hilton’s Expansion Plans

Hilton is investing heavily in Latin America and will have more than 100 properties in the region, including the Caribbean, by the end of the year. It has already opened almost 20 locations in 2015 and has more than 60 more in its longer-term development plans, according to It currently offers roughly 20,000 rooms, which includes five hotels launched in Mexico this year as well as 2015 debuts in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Jamaica. And due to the “tremendous growth potential” of the region, Hilton has another 8,000 rooms coming down the line. “We are steadfast in our efforts to ensure this growth continues,” said Ted Middleton, a senior vice president at Hilton Worldwide.
