Outsourced customer services provider ibex looks to add 500 employees to its payroll in Honduras, where it launched operations in late 2021.
New hires will be provided with skill training at the company’s newly established office in the capital city of Tegucigalpa.
“Almost 85% of our managers had previously worked as call center agents,” stated the BPO provider.
The company launched operations in Honduras with around 400 employees. The new hiring is likely to increase the company’s total headcount in the country to around 1,000. In fact, ibex promised to create 2,000 in the Central American country over the next few years.
“ibex is pleased to announce that it is once again expanding its operations in Honduras and hiring 500 new agents to support several new programs,” said Luis Anleu, ibex’s Director of Operations in Honduras.
In Honduras, ibex has a partnership agreement with Grupo Karim’s, a local real estate firm whose Altia business complex in San Pedro Sula is home to a dozen of foreign call centers.
With more than 30,000 employees across 34 delivery centers in countries including Jamaica, the Philippines, Nicaragua, Pakistan and Senegal, ibex is one of the fastest-growing BPO firms in the Americas.
