Indecomm Rebrands as Encora, Bringing Subsidiaries Under a Single Umbrella

Outsourced product development services firm Indecomm Digital has changed its name to Encora, bringing together two of its subsidiaries, Nearsoft and Söoryen Technologies, under a single umbrella.

The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company, backed by private equity firm Warburg Pincus, says the move will pave the way for better leveraging both talent and technological capabilities.

“By integrating our deep technology experience and capabilities into a single global organization, we’re in a better position to accelerate innovation for our clients and meet the demands of the rapidly growing software product development segment,” said Venu Raghavan, co-founder & CEO of Encora, in a press release.

Indecomm acquired Nearsoft, a Mexico-based software engineering firm, in 2017, and Söoryen Technologies, based in New York City, in 2018. The merger will take Encora’s total headcount to more than 4,000, who are working out of more than 20 delivery centers across dozens of countries, including India.

Encora’s other subsidiary and nearshore IT services provider, Avantica, will continue to operate independently. Avantica – which runs delivery centers in several Latin American countries, including Peru, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Colombia – was acquired last year.

Encora’s technological expertise span mobility, big data, analytics, machine learning, automation, and the internet of things, supporting clients in sectors such as healthcare, travel, digital payments, and online retailing.

Interestingly, the COVID-19 pandemic did not hurt Encora at all. In fact, the company’s book of clients grew by 5% during the second quarter of this year and it hired 300 more employees during the period, according to Phoenix Business Journal.
