LTIMindtree, India’s fifth-largest IT firm, further cemented its presence in Mexico with the launch of a new delivery center in Mexico City.
“Mexico serves as a crucial nearshore location, enabling us to efficiently cater to our clients in North America,” stated the IT provider.
This marks LTIMindtree’s second base in Mexico, complementing its existing center in Guadalajara.
The new facility boasts a capacity of 100 professionals, who will collaborate with their colleagues in both the US and India to provide services to global clients.

Born from the merger of L&T Infotech and Mindtree, LTIMindtree boasts a global workforce exceeding 80,000 and annual revenue of US$4 billion. L&T Infotech also holds a presence in Costa Rica’s capital, San José.
Historically, the telecom and manufacturing sectors have been major client segments for LTIMindtree in Mexico.
The company’s Mexican footprint could have been even larger. In 2008, months before the Lehman Brothers collapse triggered a global recession, Mindtree had plans for a delivery center in Monterey. However, the IT firm was forced to cancel this expansion in 2009 as the economic downturn squeezed IT contracts, particularly in the US.
Today, LTIMindtree maintains a strong presence in the US, with over 12 delivery centers nationwide.
This focus on geographical proximity aligns with CEO Debashis Chatterjee’s philosophy. He told Forbes earlier this year: “When there is a crisis, stay close to your clients.”
