This Latin American incursion will be a new experience for Navisite. The company has operated mainly in the US and India, where it has four and three delivery centers, respectively.
Founded in 1996, Navisite provides a combination of business process and IT solutions, including cloud, enterprise applications, data management, intelligent automation and cybersecurity services.
“Costa Rica offers a diverse, digitally savvy workforce that will enable us to grow our presence in Latin America,” stated Navisite’s CEO Mark Clayman, indicating plans to use the San Jose office to serve Latin American clients.
Navisite’s arrival has further boosted Costa Rica’s efforts to grow into a nearshore hub for US firms looking to cut costs. The country’s investment promotion agency, CINDE, expressed its delight at the number of jobs services sector firms generating.
“Navisite is joining some of the world’s best-known technology companies by expanding its footprint to Costa Rica. This subsector recorded more than 30,000 accumulated jobs at the end of 2022,” the agency said in a press release.
