Sourcing Decisions 2018

Slideshow: Canada’s Largest Companies Brace for Big Change at Sourcing Decisions 2018

Compared to many of its country peers around the world, Canada lags in adoption of intelligence-rich solutions for the enterprise – and that fact helped spur some lively, probing discussions during the second annual Sourcing Decisions 2018 held in Toronto last week.

Robotics process automation, in particular, became one of the most debated and analyzed topics during the conference, attracting over 100 attendees – comprised largely of senior IT, procurement and sourcing pros from Canada’s leading financial institutions. “I got in trouble last year for saying BPO is dead. It is not actually dead, but its changing radically,” said Guy Kirkwood, Chief Evangelist at UIPath, one of the world’s fastest-growing RPA firms. Discussions on a major IT transformation at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, powerful new CX-enhancing technologies, a Chatbot demo by Nearshore Delivery Solutions, and an eye-opening breakdown of Canada’s approaching labor challenge among skilled workers, all won praise from attendees.
